Despite some disappointing results in recent weeks, Asvel’s Euroleague campaign this season can still be considered a success. It’s their best performance since returning to the competition six years ago.

Asvel got a boost heading into this match with a 94-86 win over Monaco in the LNB league. But what’s just as important as the victory is the form of their best player, Theo Maledon. After his performance against Real Madrid, he followed it up with another impressive game, scoring 27 points and adding 9 assists. 

His form will be crucial for Asvel’s results in the final stretch of the season.

Olympiacos Form & Team News

Olympiacos played one of their weakest games of the season last week, ultimately losing 81-73 at home to Crvena Zvezda. 

While this loss didn’t significantly damage their standing in the league, it clearly disturbed their coach, Georgios Bartzokas, who criticized his team’s performance as very poor.

Crvena Zvezda traveled to Greece without a single center in their roster, yet still managed to play a solid game and surprise the Greek side, who themselves were missing several key players.

Olympiacos are facing even more personnel issues ahead of this match. Moses Wright, Keenan Evans, and Thomas Walkup are already unavailable, and now Nikola Milutinov, Luca Vildoza, and Giannoulis Larentzakis will be joining the list of absentees. 

Additionally, the participation of Nigel Williams-Goss is still uncertain, and his status will be clarified closer to game time.
