How To Bet On Korean Basketball League

The Korean Basketball League, also known as the KBL, is the top basketball competition in South Korea. Founded in 1997, the competition has gone from strength to strength in recent years, with a number of brilliant players and teams lighting up the league.

Bettors from across the world have made the most out of the change to bet on the KBL, and so can you. Follow our step-by-step guide to betting on the KBL below.

How Does KBL Betting Work?

KBL betting works in the same way as most other basketball leagues. You can bet on the pre-match and in-play markets for each game that is played. You can also wager on futures markets, which will simply ask you to bet on longer betting options such as the winner of the KBL, top scorer and more.

KBL Betting Markets

  • Match Winner/Moneyline - This is the most straightforward and popular betting market in basketball betting. You simply need to pick where the home team or the away team will win or if the game will end in a draw. The market is so popular as it is very easy to understand and wager on.
  • Handicaps - This market will allow you to place a handicap on the two teams. For example, you can place a negative points handicap on the stronger team. This will see the odds of them winning stretch as they must now overturn the handicap for your bet to win. For example, if you place a 5-5.5 handicap, you side must win by six points or may to overturn the imaginary handicap. You can also place a positive handicap on the weaker team.
  • Totals - You can bet on the total points, rebounds and assists in basketball for both teams and players. You will be given a certain number of points, such as 155.5, and you would then need to predict whether there will be over or under this number.
  • Race To X Points - This market will ask you to bet on which team will reach 10, 20, 30 points first.
  • Odd/Even Points - You simply need to wager on where the total number of points will add up to an odd or even number.
  • Futures - You will be asked to bet on the outcomes of longer betting propositions such as the winner of the KBL, top scorer and more.
