English Premier League Winner Odds - Can Manchester City defend their English Premier League title?

With the new season underway, Manchester City arrive as the favourites at 2.10, but are Pep Guardiola's side the team to back? 

Manchester City are the team to back to win the English Premier League 2024/25 title according to the bookmakers, with the side available at 2.10 to lift the trophy once again. 

Arsenal will provide their biggest challenge, with the Gunners priced at 3.00. Meanwhile, Liverpool, Chelsea, Newcastle United and Tottenham are seen as longer shots to secure silverware in the league, with this one currently seen as a two-horse race. 

After the opening three rounds of the season, City and Liverpool are the only perfect sides in the competition. Meanwhile, Brighton, Arsenal and Newcastle all have seven points. 

Despite City arriving as the favourites, they were pushed all the way by Arsenal in 2024/24 as they finished just two points clear of their opponents. The thrilling title race in 2023/24 looked to be going down to the final day for City, Arsenal and Liverpool until the latter stalled. 

As it was, City secured the title once again as they proved to everyone they are the best side in England. 

This season, each side will be desperate to stop City winning once again, but this is far easier said than done. Pep Guardiola's side have continually proved they are a silverware-winning machine, and they have that ability to put together uninterrupted winning runs that see them over the line. 

For Arsenal, this season will once again be about taking that final step and winning the title. Mikel Arteta's side have proved to be City's main rivals, but they have continually fallen short. While pushing City to the final day is commendable, they will want to taste glory in the league this season, although their exploits in the Champions League may hinder them.
