Manchester United's last domestic match saw them knocked out of the FA Cup by Fulham in another insipid performance at Old Trafford.

Arsenal arrive for this one on the back of one of the best away performances in Champions League knockout history as they dismantled PSV in a 7-1 win.

United have lost seven league games at home this season including in two of their last three

Arsenal have won six of their last 10 against United, with the latter winning the other four meetings.

Manchester United have been awful this season, with the side currently languishing in 14th in the league. After 27 matches, United are closer to the relegation zone (16 point gap) than they are to the summit (34 points).

Nine wins in 27 matches is a woeful return, while their 12 defeats and 39 goals conceded shows they have been too easy to score against and too easy to beat. The home fans have had to endure some truly horrendous performances, with just six wins coming on their own patch this season.

While they did win their last home game against Ipswich, the fact they fell behind after four minutes and then saw their relegation-threatened opponents equalise and make it 2-2 was embarrassing. While Arsenal played in midweek, United played on Thursday, meaning they have even less time than their opponents to prepare for this one.

Arsenal went from failing to score in their previous two to smashing seven goals past PSV in one of the most one-sided Champions League performances in memory.

Their 7-1 win means they have all-but secured their place in the next round in Europe, meaning they can likely rest some players in the second-leg. This may allow the Gunners to utilise their better players against United before resting them in midweek.

The Gunners boast the second-best away record in the league, winning seven times on the road and losing twice. With two wins coming in their last three away games in the league, I am backing Arsenal to win this one despite failing to keep a clean sheet.
