How To Bet On K-League 1 Football

The South Korean K-League 1 is the biggest domestic football competition in the country, with some brilliant players choosing to turn out for sides across the league.

With a range of betting markets such as match winner, both teams to score, correct score and much more, betting on the K-League and football in general is very popular. With so many ways to wager, betting on football is not something that gets boring quickly.

With this in mind, we have created a short guide to betting on K-League 1 and what each market entails.

How Does K-League 1 Betting Work?

Football betting is one of the most simple and popular ways to wager your money.

Where you are betting on a match via pre-game or in-play markets, or if you are looking to bet on futures, football betting has something for everyone. Read on to learn about the biggest betting markets on offer to you.

K-League 1 Betting Markets

Below, we have brought together the biggest and most popular betting markets that are available on most K-League 1 games and matches across the world. While there are more markets available, those listed below are generally available everywhere.

  • Match Winner - This is the simplest market as you just need to bet on the outcome of the match. Also known as 1X2, you can bet on a home win, an away win or a draw.
  • Both Teams To Score - Often abbreviated to BTTS, the both teams to score market will simply ask whether you believe both sides will score at least one goal. If you bet yes, both teams need to find the back of the net at least once each. If you bet no, then one or both teams need to fail to score.
  • Correct Score - This is a very popular market but it is tough to nail a winner consistently. You will be given a range of scores and you must pick the one you think is right. These range from a drab 0-0 to 8-0 scores and beyond. The odds in this market are generally fairly long as freak goals and surprising results happen often which means the supposed most likely result may not occur.
  • Goal Scorer Markets - You can bet on anytime scorer (you win if your pick scores at any times), first scorer (you win if your pick is the first player to score) and last scorer (you win if you pick scores the final goal. You can also bet on the to score a brace and to score a hat-trick markets too.
  • Cards - Card betting will ask you to wager on whether you think there will be over or under a certain number of cards, while you can also bet on a specific player to get a red or yellow card.
  • Corners - You will be asked to bet on whether there will be over or under a certain number of corners.
  • To Win To Nil - Simply bet on a side that you think will win the game to nil.
  • Over/Under - Wager on whether there will be over or under a certain number of goals. Betting on under 1.5 goals in a game will generally provide longer odds than betting over 1.5 goals, while betting over 6.5 goals will provide longer odds than betting on under 6.5 goals.
  • Handicap Markets - This market will allow you to place handicaps on the teams that are playing. For example, you can place a -1.5 goal handicap on the stronger team. This will see you given longer odds than if you simply bet on that team to win outright. Therefore, your bet will only win if your team outscores the imaginary handicap, so if they win 3-1, you will win, but if your team wins 2-1, your bet will lose as they did not overturn the -1.5 goal handicap. You can also place a positive handicap on the weaker team.
