Spain's top league La Liga is once again pitting some of the best sides in the club game against each other, with the competition throwing up shock results, stunning goals and incredible moments.
With the new season edging towards its finale, Barcelona are the current favourites, but can they hold off the challenge of Real Madrid?

Real Madrid are one of the teams to back to win La Liga in 2025, with the reigning champions available at 2.75 with bet365.
Barcelona are the current favourites to secure the trophy at 1.62, although this implies that they are clear at the top of the table. Instead, Barcelona sit at the summit on 60 points, ahead of Real Madrid on goal difference.
Atletico Madrid are right in the mix with 56 points. The reason Barca are the favourites is because they have a game in hand over the two below them and are also enjoying an excellent run. However, things can change quickly in football, meaning their lead is tenuous.
We are now into the final third of the campaign, and anything could happen. All three of the sides at the summit have been excellent this season, and this simply means that if one side starts to drop points, the other two could pull away.
Real were able to romp to the title by 10 points last season as they were only beaten once across their 38 league games. With 87 goals scored and 26 conceded, Real boasted the best attack and defence in the league.
Despite heavy investment in the summer, statistically they are already worse off. Real have lost four of their 28 matches so far, while they have already conceded more goals than they did last season.
Now, Real will hope that another La Liga title win is on the cards as they look to continue their dominance in Spain and Europe. Barcelona's exploits will be very interesting as they look to ensure Real do not secure the title again, but they will have to find a way to cut out the disappointing defeats that ultimately cost them.
