Feyenoord vs Bayer Leverkusen Tips - Leverkusen to ease to Champions League win against Feyenoord

Bayer Leverkusen hammered Hoffenheim 4-1 at the weekend as they ensured they came into their Champions League opener on the back of a win. 

The pair have met twice before, with Leverkusen winning once and the other game ending as a 2-2 draw. It is worth noting that both of these meetings came way back in 1987. 

Feyenoord have struggled for wins of late, with the side trundling to two draws in as many matches. 

While the home side have not been beaten yet this season in a competitive match, they are struggling to elevate themselves above their opponents. This has seen them score in all of their last five competitive matches, but they have drawn four of these games after 90 minutes.

The issue for Feyenoord will be that they have only won once across the league season, and this has come against opponents that are far below the level of Bayer Leverkusen. 

Bayer Leverkusen secured an impressive 4-1 win over Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga at the weekend. 

This victory allowed them to bounce back from a 3-2 loss to RB Leipzig before the international break. Leverkusen have had a lot of focus on whether they can match the heights of last season, especially with a potential Champions League run in the mix. 

While Leverkusen will struggle to match their exploits from last year, I am confident they will begin their Champions League campaign with a win despite failing to keep a clean sheet.
